Lisa's Biography
Lisa has mediated thousands of family law and probate cases in the 15 years she has been a professional mediator. Issues such as custody, assets, debts, real estate, retirement and pensions, co-parenting, investments, and taxes bring out emotion and high conflict. Navigating those waters requires experience, humor, honesty, and empathy.
Lisa utilizes her experience in and passion for family law to assist parties in reaching resolution. Prior to mediation, she practiced family law, served as a domestic relations commissioner, taught family law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney Law School and Salt Lake Community College, served as Chair of the Family Law Section of the Utah State Bar, and is now serving on its Executive Committee. Lisa is a founding board member of The Utah Journal of Family Law. She has taught seminars about domestic law, mediation, and special master work to the Utah State Bar, Family Law Section, and Utah Council On Conflict Resolution.
